Google reviews on Google Sites

Google Sites will not run a third-party script, so the widget cannot go there. Your Google reviews still can: on a hosted wall at its own address, each one linked back to Google.

In three steps

  1. Bring the Google reviews across

    Open your Business Profile, find the review, and use its own share link so the copy you paste here can be checked against the original. Paste the words and that link into Kudobox with the source set to “Google”. Or select the review on Google and press the Save to Kudobox bookmark, from your dashboard's tools: the source is chosen for you and the page's address comes with it. A spreadsheet of them uploads in one go, its columns read by their names.

  2. Read, then approve

    Each one is read for risk exactly like a testimonial written to you — a promised result, a figure, somebody's private detail — and waits in Pending until you approve it. The words themselves are never edited.

  3. Show them the way Google Sites can

    Scripts are sandboxed. Embed the wall as a frame. Every project has a hosted wall on every plan, and each card on it says “Originally posted on Google” with the link to the original.

What to do instead

  1. Google Sites runs embedded code inside a sandboxed frame that will not load our script the way a page does.
  2. Use Insert → Embed → By URL with your hosted wall's address instead.
  3. The wall carries your mark and your words, so it does not read as a page from somewhere else.

Google reviews are public and stay on Google. Bringing one here does not move it, and the source line on your page links back to it.

What will not happen to them

  • The words will not be edited. Not tidied, not shortened, not improved — by you, by us, or by a model.
  • The source will not be dropped: every card says it was originally posted on Google, with the link where you gave one.
  • Nothing will be fetched from Google for you — you are the one who decides each may be republished.
  • Nothing is public until you approve it, and one the reading flagged tells you why before you decide.
