App Store reviews on Notion

Notion will not run a third-party script, so the widget cannot go there. Your App Store reviews still can: on a hosted wall at its own address, each one linked back to App Store.

In three steps

  1. Bring the App Store reviews across

    A rating and review on your app's page. Paste the words and that link into Kudobox with the source set to “App Store”. Or select the review on App Store and press the Save to Kudobox bookmark, from your dashboard's tools: the source is chosen for you and the page's address comes with it. A spreadsheet of them uploads in one go, its columns read by their names.

  2. Read, then approve

    Each one is read for risk exactly like a testimonial written to you — a promised result, a figure, somebody's private detail — and waits in Pending until you approve it. The words themselves are never edited.

  3. Show them the way Notion can

    Notion cannot run a script. Link the wall instead. Every project has a hosted wall on every plan, and each card on it says “Originally posted on App Store” with the link to the original.

What to do instead

  1. Notion does not run third-party scripts in a page, so the widget cannot be embedded there. This is Notion's rule, not ours.
  2. Use the hosted wall instead: it is a page of its own at its own address, with your mark on it.
  3. Paste that address into Notion — it will show it as a bookmark, or embed it as a frame.

App Store reviews carry a nickname rather than a name. Publish the nickname; do not improve it into a full name.

What will not happen to them

  • The words will not be edited. Not tidied, not shortened, not improved — by you, by us, or by a model.
  • The source will not be dropped: every card says it was originally posted on App Store, with the link where you gave one.
  • Nothing will be fetched from App Store for you — you are the one who decides each may be republished.
  • Nothing is public until you approve it, and one the reading flagged tells you why before you decide.
